The celebration of Bantul's anniversary is done in the traditional way. Traditional processions are held with participants clad in traditional Javanese dress, accompanied by various folk dances and gamelan music,making it all festive and unique.
All are held at Tri Renggono square of Bantul starting at 09.00 am. And ending with a procession of heirlooms. This procession uses Andong (fourwheel hours carts) escorted by guards in traditional ddresses.(Bantul,Yogyakarta)
