This ceremony expresses praise and gratefulness to god by the moslems after having completed their fasting duty in the sacred month of Ramadhan.
At 08.00 a.m the ceremony begins wiyh a parade of Kraton guards in their colourful comprising of Wirobrojo, Daeng, Ketanggung, Jogokaryo, Praawirotomo,Mantrijero.
Troops led by their commander in chief. They march from Siti Hinggil trough the Pagelaran to the Southern square and then wait for the Gunungan procession.( Alun-Alun Utara Kraton Yogyakarta)
